Vision in Vintage: Evelyne Rockin' "Dollface"

I almost couldn't do it. After I'd spent several hours cutting and stitching - reconstructing this section of a vintage, 1950's dress to form a bright and daring statement headpiece... selling it seemed like an impossibility. It was too adorable! I listed it in the Blush & Bunny shop, still vascillating, and told myself if no one purchased it in one week, I'd pull it and keep "Dollface" for myself.

24 hours later it had sold. My heart sunk.

Until I found out the new owner was a girl I had pretty much idolized all through high school: a tall, dark-haired beauty one year my senior, who hung out with all the "cool kids," and always seemed so indie, so stylish - before indie was even a buzzword, much less stylish.

Aren't they just a match made in heaven?

March Magic

Happy March! What was it about February that felt like a punch in the mouth? Am I the only one that felt like the shortest month of the year couldn't end quickly enough? I landed myself in the hospital for a tic, moved house, wrote an unexpected check for $1700, broke my camera, and managed to make a dizzying mess out of a few personal matters - in only 28 days!

Goodbye, February and good riddance, you nasty bitch!

Here's hoping the ides of March will bring a little bit (or lotta bit) o' magic into my life, and yours. What sort of wonders are you pining away for? Besides sunshine and blue skies, of course? I'm wishing on stars and eyelashes and dandelion heads for all sorts of things, but primarily for opportunities for growth in my various business affairs, and, as always... in love.

Watch me while I pull a rabbit out of my hat, folks!
